Better Bowl Workshops 12th and 26th May

My Better Bowls Workshop on Saturday 12th May 2018 (starting at 10am until 3pm) is full, but there is space on the Saturday 26th May workshop.

All these workshops are still £10 each person, start at 10am and finish at 3pm. Bring one or two (or more) of your previous bowls, which I am sure are perfectly lovely, bring one or two blanks (or buy some from the club shelf) and we will see if you can make an even more lovely bowl, or try a new design.

This is not a beginners course, nor is it an expert’s course. If you have turned two, or more, bowls in the past and want to make a better bowl, then this is for you.

Remember to bring your packed lunch, or stop off at Castle Douglas’ CoOp on the way in.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR SIGNING UP FOR THESE WORKSHOPS – BOTH 12TH AND 26TH ARE FULL NOW.

Margaret Garrard Demonstration and Master Class

Margaret Garrard Demonstration and Master Class

Saturday 7th April and Sunday 8th April

Dear all,

As of last night we had only sold 7 tickets for Margaret’s demonstration and this presents us with a couple of problems.

  1. This is insufficient to cover our costs.
  2. We need to know in advance how many will actually attend in order that those preparing the lunch know how many they are catering for.

If you intend to attend the demonstration please let us know by leaving a reply below as soon as possible.

At the latest we need to know by noon, (12.00 o’clock) next Monday, 2nd April.

We do not want to be in the position of having to consider cancelling the event, (and absorbing any costs).

Robert Sorby

The demonstration in May is Chris Pouncy from Robert Sorby. As usual he will be selling items from Sorby and Turners retreat.

If you require something specific from the Turners Retreat catalog ( www.turners-retreat.co.uk). Please let me know by the 23rd April. Chris will then bring it along on the night thereby saving postage.
