Woodturning Magazine

I have been asked by Mark Baker, the editor of “Woodturning” for a picture of “members work” for an article we are putting together.

As we don’t have a collective picture of members work could I ask that members bring along a piece of their work next Tuesday so that we can photograph them for the magazine.

Membership –  Some “members” have been somewhat slow in renewing their membership fees. Please note that if the membership fee is not paid by the December meeting then membership will be deemed as lapsed. This means that the person will not be allowed to use any club machinery at any time as they and the club will not be insured.

Funding Meeting – The decision has been taken by the committee to go ahead and begin erecting a ceiling over the club area. Costings have been done and we can just afford to do this, however this will leave us somewhat exposed should any unforeseen expenses arise. Because of this it was thought expedient to do some fund-raising.  It has been decided to call a fund-raising meeting of all members at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 21st of this month. Please come along with as many ideas as possible – after all the ceiling is intended to keep YOU warm.
