I will be opening the workshop for members to come and use the club facilities on Wednesday afternoons between 2.00pm and 4.00pm starting next week, Wednesday 20th September.

Joey is an internationally respected turner and sculptor who has exhibited all round the world.  I hope we can give her a warm welcome in Castle Douglas.

I am now looking to 2019 and wondering whom to invite.  If you have any suggestions please let me know.

If anyone has home baking for the club’s catering at the Dalbeattie Sportive event tomorrow, Judith and I will be at the club workshop tomorrow morning at about 9.15 to pick up a table and will be happy to receive your donation.

Otherwise please bring it to the Blair Centre, Dalbeattie.

The Wednesday afternoon workshop turning sessions, (2.00 – 4.00p.m.) are now over until October.

Thanks to all who came along.

Sorry everyone but neither Judith nor I will be able to open the workshop this afternoon.

Judith will deputise for me and open the workshop from 2.00 – 4.00pm. on Wednesday 2nd November.

Thereafter, if there is sufficient interest, I should be free to open the workshop on Wednesday afternoons until the end of February, (except for December 28th and January 4th!).

I have been told by a member that there is an advert in Tarff Valley, Dumfries for a lathe and tools, £350 and a Dewalt planer/thicknesser, £300.
