Wood prep – July 2nd

A quick reminder about wood prep tomorrow. There is a lot of wood at the workshop that needs converting so if you’re available come along between 1pm and 4pm tomorrow, Sunday 2nd. Bring your chainsaws and PPE.

I’ll be going over to Barwhinnock House for about 1:30pm if you’d prefer to meet me there.

Potential new member may appreciate a lift

Phil H has been taking part in a show at the Harbour Cottage Gallery in Kbt recently. Also taking part was Jane Fraser from somewhere Stranraer way who is interested in the Club. Is there anyone who lives to the West of CD who would share driving, petrol etc. with Jane ? You don’t have to come from Stranraer, anywhere to the West may help.

Contact Phil H and I’ll give you Jane’s contact info.   Thanks

Wood Prep – Sunday June 4th

The first of the month seems to have come around quick and there’s a lot to do!

On the cards for tomorrow:
1. chainsaw work on the huge pile of logs outside (if the weather is really inclement we might do it inside)
2. making a new rack for the wood blanks
3. cutting blanks on the bandsaw
4. sealing the blanks
5. collecting a sycamore trunk from Dalbeatie

So lots to do, hope you can make it! Bring your chainsaws and PPE.

  • Group 3: Craichlaw, Kirkcowan, 2pm
