Competition Results – April 2014
The results are in and congratulations to Bryan Jardine!
For those of a suspicious nature, please note that Bryan’s result was entirely down to a fine piece of work and nothing whatsoever to do with me negotiating a price with him on a new lawn mower 😉
Competition Results – March 2014
The results are in and this month we have Steve Young and Phil Howard as joint winners with a clear margin between them and the rest of the field. Congratulations both!
Competition Results – Feb 2014
Competition results attached – the excellent standard of entries being reflected in there being less than 2 points between them all!
To re-iterate what Phil H said on Tuesday, the purpose of the competition is to encourage everyone to do more turning so I encourage anyone who hasn’t yet ventured a piece into the competition to do so. It’s an excellent way to improve your own skills and provides inspiration to others.
Good luck for next month – a natural edged bowl!
Competition 2013 – December and Year End Results
So double congratulations to Chic for winning the December competition and thus securing his place at the top of the leader board to retain Club Champion Trophy!
I think there has been a significant improvement in the standard of competition entries over the past year so very well done to everyone.

With 7 of the 10 competitions done the leader board is as below – but remember that it’s only your best 8 results of the year that count towards the Club Champion so even if you’ve missed a couple you can still improve your score so get turning those candle sticks for next week!

2013 Competition Results – March
The leader board has been updated with the results from March which was an excellent month for the competition: 16 entries and the quality keeps improving. Our defending champion is opening a small gap at the top but don’t be discouraged if you’ve already missed a month or two because only the top eight results out of a possible ten will count towards this year’s competition so there’s time to catch him yet!
Good luck with the pepper mills next month – mechanisms are probably still available from the club shop if you need one.
