Please click the banner above to download your personal RSVP invitation, for the next instalment of Live Sessions …a Free Educational Programme for Woodturning.

This week’s Live Session, aka ‘Interactive Remote Demonstrations’ (IRD’s) is brought to you direct from Theo Haralampou’s studio workshop in Brisbane Australia.

It’s all about ‘Balance’ with this project; weight, symmetry, and technique… and that’s just making the Yoyo.

Then you need to become skilful in the operation of this fine work of art, but that’s another lesson entirely. There will be plenty of discussion and demonstration around technique, and getting the best finish possible straight from the tool.

So please join us for this fun and functional project. Create a fantastic gift for the festive season, and make someone special smile.

It really is rewarding for us to see so many familiar names and faces each week, and we encourage you all to bring along your woodworking friends and join our International Live Sessions community.

Please remember to let us know which country you will be joining us from with your RSVP.

This week, Theo covers:

• Timber selection and grain orientation.

• Chucking techniques for optimum hold.

• How to develop excellent spindle gouge control.

• Sanding, burnishing and finishing.

• Yoyo strings and how they work.

Please RSVP on the invitation form or simply send an email to with RSVP in the subject line to register, and you will be sent your Zoom log in code.

Please remember that your friends and fellow club members are welcome to join us too…all they need to do is send us an RSVP!
