For her masterclass Margaret is open to suggestions from those taking part – Involuted Turning, Piercing, Colouring or Texturing or whatever – Please let me know so I can inform Margaret.

Competition Secretary – As indicated on the Web Site, Carl is stepping down as Competition Secretary. Nicky Smith has volunteered to take on the job with help from Rolf or Bill when necessary. – Thank you Nicky.

Courses – We have had an overwhelming demand on our courses. Both Rolf and my courses on Bowls & Boxes have been filled and we are now looking at further courses. We are introducing a new course for all New Club Members whatever experience the person may have. This will be a Workshop Introduction & Competency Assessment session lasting about 1 hour. This is aimed to give the candidate confidence to begin turning.

Shop – As you will see tonight we now have a new – more secure- shop. Thank you to all who helped to build this. – Please make sure you use this facility as it does help club funds.

Lastly, – Christine and I attended CD High School the other week as a follow up to the help we gave them in raising money. This was a particularly good meeting as it helped create bridges with the local community and with the youngsters.
